Beta Terms
These Beta Terms (the “Beta Terms”) govern your access to and use of any feature, module, integration, or capability of the HangarOS platform that is identified as “alpha,” “beta,” “preview,” “early access,” “experimental,” or similar (each, a “Beta Feature”).
These Beta Terms supplement — and are governed by — the HangarOS Terms of Service (the “Terms”). In the event of a conflict between these Beta Terms and the Terms with respect to a Beta Feature, these Beta Terms control.
By using a Beta Feature, you agree to these Beta Terms.
1. What "beta" means
1.1 Beta Features are pre-release. They may be:
- incomplete or limited in functionality;
- unstable or unreliable;
- subject to change, restriction, or removal without notice;
- subject to data loss, corruption, or unexpected behavior; and
- different in privacy, security, or operational characteristics from generally available features.
1.2 No guarantees. Beta Features are provided AS-IS and AS-AVAILABLE without any warranty of any kind, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that Beta Features will work, will be available, or will become generally available.
1.3 No SLA. No service level agreement, uptime commitment, or support service level applies to Beta Features.
2. Changes, restrictions, and removal
2.1 We may, at any time and at our sole discretion:
- (a) modify the scope, functionality, or behavior of a Beta Feature;
- (b) restrict access to a Beta Feature (including by feature flag, allowlist, quota, or rate limit);
- (c) impose additional terms specific to a Beta Feature; or
- (d) discontinue a Beta Feature entirely.
2.2 We have no obligation to provide notice of any of the foregoing. Where reasonable, we will try to give notice in-product or by email.
3. Data
3.1 Production use at your risk. While we apply the same general security controls to Beta Features as to the rest of the Service (see our Security Policy and DPA), Beta Features may have a higher risk of bugs that cause data loss or corruption. Do not rely on a Beta Feature as your sole system of record. Maintain independent backups.
3.2 No retention guarantee for Beta artifacts. Data created exclusively by or for a Beta Feature (such as an AI feature's prompt history) may be cleared when the Beta Feature changes or is discontinued. Customer Data stored in standard data stores is unaffected.
3.3 AI Beta Features. Beta Features that include AI outputs are subject to Section 10.6 of the Terms (AI features are advisory only). Outputs must be independently reviewed by a qualified human before being relied on for any operational, training, maintenance, or regulatory purpose.
4. Feedback
4.1 We ask you to share feedback, bug reports, and suggestions about Beta Features. Feedback is governed by Section 8.3 of the Terms.
4.2 We may contact you to follow up on your Beta usage. You may opt out of follow-up contact at any time.
5. Confidentiality
5.1 Some Beta Features may be disclosed to you under confidentiality. If we mark a Beta Feature as “confidential” or “private beta,” you agree to keep its existence, functionality, and any non-public roadmap information confidential for at least one (1) year from disclosure, except (a) where the information is or becomes public through no fault of yours, (b) where disclosure is compelled by law, or (c) where we agree in writing otherwise.
5.2 Public Beta Features (those announced publicly or generally available to all HangarOS customers) are not confidential.
6. Liability
6.1 Extended liability cap. The liability cap, exclusions, and disclaimers in the Terms apply to Beta Features. You acknowledge that Beta Features are provided at no separate charge in many cases, and you accept the corresponding allocation of risk.
6.2 Disclaimer of consequential damages. In no event will HangarOS or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of a Beta Feature, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities.
7. Withdrawal of consent
You may stop using a Beta Feature at any time. To request removal of your Account from a private beta, email support@hangaros.com.
8. General
These Beta Terms are part of the Agreement (as defined in the Terms). We may update these Beta Terms from time to time; updates take effect on the date posted.
