Acceptable Use Policy
This policy outlines the rules and guidelines for using the HangarOS platform. All users must comply with these standards to maintain a safe and reliable service for everyone.

1. Introduction
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of the HangarOS software-as-a-service platform (the “Service”) provided by OrangeTree Technologies (“HangarOS,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. If you violate this AUP, we may suspend or terminate your access to the Service.
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.
2. General Conduct
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by your employees, contractors, students, instructors, and any other authorized users.
You shall not use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Service, or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the Service.
3. Prohibited Activities
3.1 Illegal Activities
You may not use the Service to:
- Violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation
- Promote or facilitate illegal activities, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, or drug trafficking
- Evade or assist in the evasion of taxes or regulatory requirements
- Violate any aviation laws or FAA regulations
3.2 Abuse and Harassment
You may not use the Service to:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse any person
- Engage in hate speech, discrimination, or bullying based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic
- Publish or share another person's private information without their consent
3.3 Spam and Unsolicited Communications
You may not use the Service to:
- Send spam, phishing emails, or unsolicited commercial messages
- Use the Service for bulk email marketing without recipients' express consent
- Use the Invoicing Feature to send fraudulent, misleading, or unsolicited invoices
3.4 Security Violations
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or related systems or networks
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without our prior written permission
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features or authentication measures
- Access or interact with internal, undocumented, or unauthorized API endpoints
- Attempt to bypass rate limiting, API throttling, or other usage controls
3.5 Intellectual Property Violations
You may not use the Service to:
- Upload content that infringes copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property rights
- Distribute pirated software, illegal content, or stolen materials
- Use the Service to build a competitive product or service
3.6 Malicious Code
You may not:
- Upload or transmit viruses, worms, malware, ransomware, trojan horses, or any other harmful code
- Introduce any code that is designed to disable, damage, or interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
3.7 Misrepresentation
You may not:
- Impersonate another person, company, or entity
- Falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
- Create accounts under false identities or use another person's credentials
- Provide false or misleading information in invoices or financial documents generated through the Service
3.8 Resource Abuse
You may not:
- Excessively use system resources in a manner that negatively impacts other users
- Use the Service in a way that overloads our servers or infrastructure
- Attempt to circumvent usage quotas, storage limits, or API rate limits
- Use the Service for cryptocurrency mining or other resource-intensive non-flight-school activities
3.9 Invoicing Abuse
You may not use the Invoicing Feature to:
- Generate or send fraudulent, fictitious, or misleading invoices
- Inflate invoice amounts or include unauthorized charges
- Send invoices to individuals who have not engaged your services
- Use the Invoicing Feature to facilitate money laundering, tax evasion, or any other illegal financial activity
- Repeatedly send invoices to the same recipient in a harassing manner
4. Content Standards
All content you upload, submit, or transmit through the Service must comply with this AUP. You may not upload, submit, or transmit content that:
- Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, abusive, or harassing
- Promotes violence, discrimination, or illegal activities
- Infringes any intellectual property rights of third parties
- Contains private or confidential information of others without authorization
- Is false, misleading, or deceptive
- Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
5. Account Security Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and ensuring strong passwords
- Enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) when available
- Restricting access to authorized personnel only and promptly revoking access for individuals who should no longer have it
- Monitoring your account for unauthorized activity
- Notifying us immediately at support@hangaros.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
- Ensuring that all users of your account comply with this AUP
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please report it to us immediately at:

Please include as much detail as possible, including the nature of the violation, the parties involved, and any relevant evidence. We will investigate all reported violations and take appropriate action.
7. Enforcement
7.1 Investigation. We reserve the right to investigate any suspected violation of this AUP. We may review your account activity and content to determine whether a violation has occurred.
7.2 Actions. If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take one or more of the following actions at our sole discretion:
- Issue a written warning identifying the violation and required corrective action
- Temporarily suspend your access to the Service or specific features
- Permanently terminate your account
- Remove or disable access to content that violates this AUP
- Report the violation to law enforcement authorities
- Pursue legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages
7.3 No Obligation to Monitor. We have no obligation to monitor user activity or content for violations of this AUP. However, we reserve the right to do so at any time.
7.4 Appeals. If you believe that enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting legal@hangaros.com within 14 days of the enforcement action. We will review appeals in good faith and respond within a reasonable timeframe.
