User Management

Invite team members to your company, assign roles, and remove users who should no longer have access.

User Management lets you control who has access to your company workspace. You can invite new members by email, assign them roles, and remove access when needed.

Opening User Management

From the company sidebar, expand User Management and click Manage Users. You need the users:manage permission to access this section.

Viewing Current Members

The Users page lists all current members of your company along with their email addresses and assigned roles. Use the search bar to filter the list by name or email.

Inviting a New User

Click Invite user in the top-right corner. Enter the email address of the person you want to invite. Select the role they should be assigned (roles must be created in Roles & Permissions first). Click Send invite.

The invited user will receive an email with a link to accept the invitation. If they do not already have a HangarOS account, they will be prompted to create one before joining your company.

Accepting an Invite

When a user receives an invitation email, they click the Accept invitation link. If they are already signed in to HangarOS, they are immediately added to the company. If not, they will sign in or create an account first, then the invitation will be applied automatically.

Resending an Invitation

If an invited user did not receive the email or the link expired, you can resend the invitation from the User Management page. Find the pending invite and click Resend.

Changing a User's Role

To update a member's role, find them in the user list and click Edit or the role selector next to their name. Select the new role from the dropdown and save. The permission changes take effect immediately.

Removing a User

To remove a user from your company, find them in the list and click Remove (or the trash icon). A confirmation dialog will appear. Click Confirm to remove their access.

Removed users lose access to the company workspace immediately. Their historical bookings and other records are not deleted — they remain for audit purposes.

Company Ownership

The user who created the company is the owner. Ownership cannot be transferred through the UI. If you need to transfer ownership, contact support@hangaros.com.

Best Practices

Assign the least-privileged role that allows each user to do their job. For example, instructors do not need billing:manage access, and students should not have aircraft:manage access.

Review your user list periodically and remove former instructors or staff who have left the school.
