Getting Started with HangarOS

Learn how to create your account, sign in, and set up your first flight school workspace in minutes.

Welcome to HangarOS — the modern platform for flight school operations. This guide walks you through creating your account, signing in, and setting up your first company workspace.

Creating an Account

To get started, visit the HangarOS sign-up page and enter your email address and a strong password. Passwords must be at least 8 characters long and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character.

After submitting the form, a 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email address. Enter this code on the verification screen to confirm your account. If you do not receive the code within a few minutes, check your spam folder or click Resend.

Signing In

Go to the Login page and enter your email and password. If you have set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), you will be prompted to enter a time-based one-time code from your authenticator app after your password is accepted.

If you forget your password, click Forgot password on the login screen. Enter your email address to receive a reset code, then follow the instructions to set a new password.

Creating Your First Company

Once signed in, you will land on the Dashboard. If this is your first time, the sidebar will be empty. Click Create a new company to set up your flight school workspace.

Enter a name for your company (this is the display name your team will see) and complete any required setup steps. After creation, your new company will appear in the sidebar.

Navigating the Dashboard

The left sidebar lists all companies you belong to. Clicking a company opens its workspace. Inside each company workspace, the sidebar expands to show all available features: Bookings, Knowledge Base, Maintenance, Aircraft Management, Flight School, User Management, Billing, and Company Settings.

Your access to each section depends on the permissions assigned to your role within that company. If a section does not appear, you may not have the required permission.

Switching Between Companies

If you belong to multiple companies (or have been invited to join another school's workspace), each company appears in the left sidebar. Click any company name to switch to its dashboard.

Next Steps

Once your company is created, we recommend adding your aircraft fleet, inviting your team, configuring roles and permissions, and setting up your flight school settings before scheduling the first booking. See the dedicated guides for each of these steps.
