Account Settings & Security

Manage your profile, update your password, set up two-factor authentication, and control your account security.

Your account settings control your personal profile, password, and security options. These settings apply to your HangarOS account across all companies you belong to.

Accessing Account Settings

Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner of any dashboard page and select Account, or navigate directly to /dashboard/account.

Updating Your Profile

In the Account Settings page you can view your current email address and display name. If you need to update your display name, edit the field and save your changes. Your email address is used for login and notifications.

Changing Your Password

To change your password, scroll to the Password section of Account Settings. Enter your current password, then type your new password twice to confirm. Your new password must meet the same strength requirements as when you created your account (8+ characters, uppercase, lowercase, number, and special character).

If you cannot remember your current password, sign out and use the Forgot password flow on the Login page instead.

Setting Up Multi-Factor Authentication

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds a second layer of security to your account by requiring a time-based one-time code from an authenticator app each time you sign in.

Enabling MFA

Go to Account Settings and find the Two-Factor Authentication section. Click Set up MFA. A QR code will be displayed — scan it with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password. Enter the 6-digit code shown in your app to confirm setup.

Once enabled, every sign-in will require both your password and a fresh code from your authenticator app. Keep your authenticator app accessible; if you lose access, contact support@hangaros.com.

Disabling MFA

To remove MFA, go to Account Settings, find the Two-Factor Authentication section, and click Remove MFA. You will be asked to confirm with your current authenticator code before it is disabled.

Deleting Your Account

If you wish to permanently delete your HangarOS account, scroll to the bottom of Account Settings and click Delete account. You will be asked to confirm this action. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your personal data will be removed. Company data you created may persist for other members of those companies.

Dark Mode

HangarOS supports both light and dark themes. Toggle the theme using the sun/moon icon in the top navigation bar. Your preference is saved locally and persists across sessions.
