Aircraft Management

Add aircraft to your fleet, update registration details, and remove aircraft that are no longer in service.

The Aircraft Management page is where you maintain your fleet registry. Every aircraft that can be booked for training must first be added here.

Opening Aircraft Management

From the company sidebar, expand Aircraft Management and click the link to open the fleet list. You need the aircraft:manage permission to access this section.

Viewing Your Fleet

The fleet list shows all aircraft registered to your company with their model name and registration (tail number). You can search the list by model or registration, sort by either field, and paginate through results.

Searching and Sorting

Type in the search bar to instantly filter the list. Use the Sort by buttons to toggle between sorting by Model or Registration. Click the arrow button to switch between ascending and descending order.

Adding an Aircraft

Click Add aircraft in the top-right corner. A form will appear with two required fields:

Model — the aircraft model name, for example Cessna 172 or Piper Cherokee.

Registration — the aircraft tail number or registration identifier, for example N12345.

Click Save to add the aircraft to your fleet. It will immediately become available for selection when creating bookings.

Editing an Aircraft

Find the aircraft in the list and click Edit. Update the model name or registration and click Save changes. All existing bookings referencing this aircraft will reflect the updated details.

Deleting an Aircraft

Click Edit on the aircraft you want to remove, then click Delete, or click the Delete button directly from the table row. A confirmation dialog will appear. Click Delete to permanently remove the aircraft.

Deleting an aircraft removes it from the fleet registry. Historical bookings that referenced the aircraft are not deleted but the aircraft will no longer be selectable for new bookings.

Best Practices

Keep registration details accurate — the registration (tail number) is displayed on booking calendar events so instructors and students can identify which aircraft they are booked on.

Add all active aircraft before scheduling begins. Only aircraft listed in this registry appear in the aircraft dropdown when creating a booking.

When an aircraft goes into long-term maintenance or is retired, delete it from the registry to prevent it from being booked. You can re-add it later if it returns to service.
